Answer for cancer

Scris de silviu sh la September - 1 - 2009
anna_desenoI am twenty-one, I have cancer. No, this isn’t my first time to have cancer, but my second time! Why me? Why would God allow me to have something so hard to handle, something so far out of my control? My heart goes out to anyone going through the pain of being told they have a dreaded disease. We all face the shocking reality that life is short.1 Some questions come to mind. Why does death frighten us? Why does it make us cry when we are told we are going to die? Where is God on days like this? How can God be loving? I hope to help you answer these questions by God’s Word.   1. We all are going to face death. Being faced with death is a sobering thought. It is something we are all going to face, young or old. I asked some young people at a fair if they were afraid of going to hell. Most of them said, “No,” with the carefree attitude of “I’m too young to die.” I too thought I was going to have a long life. I took life for granted. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with cancer that I realized life is short. I really didn’t know what was going to happen. The Bible says to “boast not thyself of tomorrow: for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth,”.2 Today may be the day you die.   2. God sees our hearts. If you examine your life by God’s law, you will truly begin to understand the love of God. Having cancer made me examine my life. I liken the CAT scan or the MRI to the Law of God. Most all of us have heard of the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20. Have you ever laid yourself down to be examined by the law of God? tomografLike a CAT scan, God's law does not look at the outside of your body but on the inside. God’s law examines our heart. A CAT scan shows the tumors o unwanted growths in your body. God’s law goes beyond the outward appearance and shows us our cancerous heart.3 If you compare yourself to a person at work or your neighbor next door, you may find yourself thinking you are a good person. But if you compare yourself to the pure law of God, you will find yourself a sinner. God’s law shows that if you have lied, you are a liar; if you have looked at someone with lust in your heart, you have committed adultery.4 God’s law says if you have hated someone, you have committed murder. If you have stolen anything (no matter how small), you are a thief. Romans 3:23 tells us that we all have fallen short of being a good person. In Revelations 21:8, we are given a list of those who will not enter into heaven: "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." This verse tells us that we are going to hell after we die. What an unpleasant thought! We have an inner conscience that tells us to fear death because of our sin. Our sin is what makes us fear death!   3. God’s Son paid our debt. All the money in the world would not even begin to pay one person’s debt to enter into the kingdom of heaven. The Bible tells us that doing good works, going to church, visiting nursing homes, giving to charity, etc., will not pay for even one lie we told! Isaiah 64:6 tells us “ . . . all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.” You may be asking yourself, "Now how can my debt be paid?" The only perfect person to walk on the face of this earth was Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that Jesus took our debt and paid it. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."5 Jesus Christ Himself was beaten beyond recognition; His beard was pulled out; nails were hammered into His hands and feet. His bloody, beaten body was hung on a cross in shame for all to see. Why did He do this? Jesus did this for YOU. He died on that cross for the whole world.6 Jesus suffered for sin that was not His own. God allowed Him to suffer. In Jesus’ death we can receive life everlasting. Death did not reign over Jesus; He rose again the third day and now sits on the right hand of the Father. Asking Jesus to save you is the only way to pay your debt of sin. God will not force you to trust Him. You are not His puppet. You are His creation! God has given us each the choice to accept His forgiveness of sins, or reject His pardon of sin. Heaven or Hell is your choice. He loves you and wants you to be His child. There is a solution for pain here on this earth. The answer is Jesus Christ. He will give you a new hope and new eyes for the sorrows you go through. Jesus Christ will carry you through the valley of the shadow of death.7 He will never leave you or forsake you. When I was going through cancer the first time, I realized as a Christian how much God loved me. His love was overflowing to me. It was in the midst of a night when I had the worst physical pain that God showed me He also went through unbearable pain just for me. God cares! He knows your pain. I was reading a book and I came across a quote that said, “Show me someone who lives a carefree life with no problems or trials or dark night of the soul and I will show you a shallow person.” Sufferings and trials are there to draw us closer to God and to make us a better person. Just as you would not know your need for a cure if you had no pain, you wouldn’t know your need for God if you didn’t go through any suffering. If you have a heart’s desire to ask Christ to save you, cry out with a heart of repentance for Christ to forgive you of your sins. (Name the Ten Commandments you broke.) Ask the Lord to cover all your sins with His sinless blood. Ask Jesus to take you to heaven when you die. Put your trust in Him. If you have done this, read your Bible and pray daily. Get into a church that believes in the Bible as the final authority. Be baptized to show the world you are not ashamed of Christ, and be sure to tell others what He has done for you! When you become a child of God, trials will come. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings: that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy".8 Now you can rejoice for you know that the Lord is with you and someday you will be with Him in heaven. Your suffering is only temporal!   Anna DeSeno

Unde este Dumnezeu in momente ca astea? Cum poate Dumnezeu sa fie plin de dragoste?
